Please call the studio and there will be an appropriate weather-related message for you if we are not able to answer the phone.  WHO WE ARE...
Since 1980. Perrysburg Academy of the Performing Arts has been a creative, nurturing and positive environment in the arts community, offering one of the largest, most extensive dance programs in NW Ohio, with the finest professional, experienced faculty!. Qualified and experienced dance teachers offer enjoyable and inspiring classes for students age 2-1/2 to adult.

The decision to give your child dance classes is not nearly as difficult as deciding where to have them study. Perrysburg Academy nurtures the individual potential of their students, creates performance opportunities and exposes children to a variety of dance forms. At Perrysburg Academy, dancers are encouraged to achieve their personal best; an average child does very well & the exceptional child flourishes with the excellent training they receive. We are a family-oriented school that aims to provide students with the very best amenities and a "home away from home" atmosphere. We want all of our students, new and old, to be an important part of our dance family.

Perrysburg Academy provides high quality dance classes to children in a non-competitive environment and wonderful performing opportunities. Classes include ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, voice, lyrical jazz, modern, baton, Irish step dance, Hawaiian, hip hop, and preschool combination classes. We also offer dance workshops where the students get the chance to learn from and work one-on-one with professionals who have performed in shows such as Legally Blonde: The Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Wicked, and A Chorus Line. Perrysburg Academy students have attended The Tony Awards and “Rockette for a Day” at Radio City Music Hall, and have performed in Spain, Jamaica, Downtown Disney, Cedar Point and aboard a Caribbean Cruise Ship.

At Perrysburg Academy, we do not emphasize training future "professional dancers,"  even though several of our students have gone on to make dance their career.  Instead, our goal is to train future "successful adults." What a student learns from dance class (beyond the obvious dance technique) can be applied to whatever our students decide to do in life.  Very few children will go on to become professional dancers, but many children, with excellent instruction, can go on to achieve wonderful results and extract a great deal of pleasure from dance classes. It promotes a healthy body, cooperation and as they master each milestone they learn leadership skills and gain a great deal of confidence, poise and self-esteem. Our students learn how to present themselves in front of an audience, whether that audience is in a theater or boardroom. Dancers learn time management and organizational skills, as well as balance, fexibility, strength, coordination, carriage, creativity, musicality, kinesthetic awareness, self-expression, communication, respect for others, commitment, determination, joy, excitement, self-respect, concentration, focus, responsibility, teamwork, tolerance, problem solving, critical thinking skills, self-discipline, goal-setting and prioritizing...all necessary for success in life.

Whether attending for fun and to make new friends, or studying with ambitions of one day performing professionally, Perrysburg Academy is the place to be!

"Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication to all of your dancers, your attention to detail and professionalism are certainly displayed during the recitals. Savannah is normally quite shy, but enjoys herself so much, and each year during the recital seems to find something else she wants to try in the fall! Thanks so much for everything."
